On Tuesday, the City of Harrisonburg announced two downtown street closures for Wednesday, August 20.
East Market Street between Main Street and Federal Street will be closed from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. According to a release, that closure is related to work through the downtown streetscape project.
Also to occur on Wednesday is maintenance work by Norfolk Southern on Water Street’s wooden bridge. Vehicles will not be able to access that route between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. while work is being done, but pedestrians and bicyclists will still be able to use the bridge.
