Shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday, emergency personnel from Bridgewater responded to a single vehicle accident on Frieden’s Church Road in Rockingham County near the Green Valley Book Fair.
According to Capt. Mike Harmon of the Bridgewater Rescue Squad, extrication was required to remove the male driver of the Ford F-150 from his vehicle. He has since been taken to Rockingham Memorial Hospital for observation. According to Harmon, the victim was likely a Priority 2 patient, a mid-level medical status.
The cause of the accident could not be confirmed.
